It asks you to connect so it can update it, but it never actually updates. There's no doubt that the phone was sold as locked to Boost. However, some phones and carriers are set up to automatically unlock as soon as the subscriber becomes eligible (after 12 months in Boost mobile's case), and I think that's what they are claiming happened. Was making 20 pounds....then started going down to around 14, then won't go over 10.
